With holiday shopping upon us, many are dreading the long check out lines at the crowded retail stores. This Next Big Thing aims to reduce not only your wait time, but also the risk of identity theft and pay fraud. It’s a device called FinGoPay, and some stores are already using it to make it faster and easier for customers to pay. The new biometrics technology uses an infrared light to scan your finger, detecting the blood flow in your veins that make up your unique finger pattern. It’s just like using your fingerprint — but even more accurate!
So what do you think — is pay by finger the Next Big Thing? Vote and tell us your opinion in the comments section below. Or submit your video comments to email@example.com. We will feature the results of the poll and some of your comments on the show!
It is the coolest high tech!
Yes-it is a safer way to pay for things and avoid identity theft.
No, because people would be creeped out by it and also you could end up buying more things than you can afford because you dont have a certain amount of money.
Paying whit you’re fingers is good for people that don’t have money and a credit card
It may seem all cool and easier to pay, but it is a waste of money. It would have to be a certain finger, and there are 10 possibilities. That is a waste of time for the customers. Also it is easy to actually steal a fingerprint using simple things like saran wrap. There would have to be security questions because it is too easy to do this. Also only one person could use it because oils in your skin would cover the thing contaminating the surface.
This is the next big thing because, you don’t have to worry about losing your wallet or purse or have to worry about people stealing it.
I pick no because it’s not worth it people will say yes because it’s nice but really it’s going to break anyway so I just stick with my debit card to pay for stuff to be honest
I like that you don’t have to bring a bag
Or carry anything in a hurry
Yes, the pay by finger is the next big thing because credit cards and money can be lost, your fingerprint cannot!
No. It may save the few seconds to pull out a credit card, but it would be impractical to people without hands, or with prosthetics. Not to mention the whole “detecting blood flow” think would personally creep me out.
Omg you are so right
There is too many digital hacks and gliches for it to be a reliable system.
