We Are All Uncool

Have you ever felt like you aren’t as cool as other people because of the things you like or the way you act?

You’re not alone. Everyone (even the Channel One reporters!) feels that way at some point, especially now that we can see the best parts of everyone else’s lives on social media. But now, a new social media campaign aims to end the feeling that you’re not like everyone else.

The We Are All Uncool campaign is about showing off the facts about you that make you a little insecure. They want people, especially kids and teens, to stop being afraid of their differences and to instead start celebrating them. Getting involved is really easy too, all you have to do is:

• Think of three things that you normally wouldn’t share with other people.
• Take a selfie holding a piece of paper that says, “I AM NOT COOL.”
• Make the photo black and white, and post it to your Instagram feed
• Tag the photo with the hashtag “#wearealluncool” and the @weareuncool account
• Tag your family and friends to challenge them to participate.

The Channel One News team challenged our fans to share their “I AM NOT COOL” selfies and you guys didn’t disappoint. Even the founders of We Are All Uncool said that they were “so inspired and amazed” by your posts. We got so many awesome submissions that we decided to round up a few of them and post them on the site!
