Ronnie Bhardwaj, Cinematographer

Posted on: 08.09.2015 in reporter

Born in India, Ronnie moved to the U.S. at the age of four and grew up in New York City. Always a fan of the arts, Ronnie fell in love with film and television in the eighth grade and spent the majority of his high school years filming short films and movies with his friends. In college he switched gears and began studying biology and pre-med, which he also enjoyed, leading him to start working as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and emergency medical provider for ambulances and hospitals.

After college he transitioned back into film, attending graduate school and earning his Master’s of Fine Arts in film from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. His films and documentaries have screened at several prominent film festivals, both domestically and internationally. Before working at Channel One, Ronnie worked as an instructional staff member at the New York Film Academy.

When not filming at Channel One, you can find him filming movies, music videos, documentaries and more. He loves to travel around the world with the producers and reporters helping film their stories; and when you see the Daily Show, that’s Ronnie behind the cameras making it possible.

Channel 1 is my favorite thing to watch in school. Better than the school announcements.
